What it is like
Playa Baluarte, also known as O Casqueiro, is a narrow urban beach adjoining the port area of Palmeira. Its 90-metre length and just 5-metre width consist of golden sand, with calm waters and medium occupancy. Its port character and limited width define its configuration. It is easily accessible on foot or by car from the C-550, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles, an interurban bus service, showers, foot-washing facilities, cleaning and seasonal services.
