What it is like

Playa Areoura is a white-sand beach on the boundary of the municipality of Foz, 150 metres long and varying between 5 and 100 metres in width. Its semi-urban frontage looks onto a cliff and retains vegetation, while moderate waves accompany high occupancy. The recovery of the dune system and demolition of a hotel structure are among the environmental actions noted. It is easily reached on foot from the N-642, with fewer than 50 parking spaces, showers and a surf area.
