What it is like
Playa de Nuevo Portil is an extensive golden-sand beach stretching for 1,500 metres below a cliff and facing a dune landscape. It is 40 metres wide, with calm waters, vegetation and high occupancy. The coastal dune’s change in level is crossed by walkways, and in certain areas the seabed is rocky. The beach also maintains a river connection with Nueva Umbría, in Marismas del Río Piedras and flecha de El Rompido Natural Area. Access is easy on foot and adapted, with parking, buses, showers and nautical services.
