What it is like
Playa de la Ribera occupies the head of Luanco Bay, very close to the port, and is distinguished by its golden sand. It is an urban beach measuring 200 metres long and 35 metres wide, accompanied by a seafront promenade and a harbour setting. Usual visitor numbers are low and the surf is moderate. Access is easy on foot or by car, with signage and facilities adapted for people with reduced mobility. Practical features include the tourist office, food services, cleaning and litter bins.
