What it is like
Playa de la Arena, also known as Mesa del Mar, is a beach of fine black volcanic sand situated below cliffs. Its 350-metre length and 30-metre width form an urban sandy beach with a seafront promenade, vegetation and a protected setting of natural habitats and Paisaje Protegido. The beach offers calm water sheltered from sea currents and has high occupancy. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the TF-165, with fewer than 50 parking spaces, interurban buses and adapted access. It has showers, foot showers, cleaning, restaurants and an anchorage area.
