What it is like
Playa de Jondón del Fondón, also called Playa del Fondón and Playa del Hondón del Fondón, is an isolated sandy beach 150 metres long and 11 metres wide. The shore combines golden sand and gravel with cobbles, a material that may be uncomfortable, and opens onto a mountainous, cliff-lined coast. A cliff area of around 800 metres extends between this beach and Barranco Ancho. Access is via Cañada de Gallego or the GR-92 coastal path, with arrival possible on foot, by car or by boat.
