What it is like
Playa del Palmar is a beach of dark sand and gravel which, despite its semi-urban character, is somewhat distant from the area’s tourist centres. Its 120-metre length and barely 10-metre width form a narrow strip, with calm waters and high visitor numbers. Access on foot is easy and is served by interurban routes 111 and 343. For practical purposes, it also has nearby parking and Puerto Colón as the nautical reference.
