What it is like
Playa del Charcón combines white sand, rock and gravel in an isolated beach facing the dunes. Its 325-metre length and 40-metre width form a broad stretch, with calm waters and a windy atmosphere. It is easily accessed on foot or by car via a dirt track, about 5 kilometres from El Cotillo along tracks. The FV-10 and urban bus routes 7 and 8, up to El Cotillo, appear as practical references.
