What it is like
Playa del Balís is recognised for its short length and direct relationship with the port of the same name. This golden-sand beach is 50 metres long and 90 metres wide, extends to the Riera de Gironella and appears as the end of Playa de Sant Vicenç de Montalt, already outside this municipality. The frontage is urban, although the beach is listed as semi-urban, with calm waters and low occupancy. It is easily reached on foot, by interurban bus or via the N-II, and Club Nàutic El Balís provides an immediate nautical reference.
