What it is like
Playa de Centroña is a tiny isolated cove, only 20 metres long and 15 metres wide, formed by white sand opposite a mountain setting. Its proximity to the railway crossing the ría de Ares is one of its most recognisable features, as is the fact that it disappears at high tide. The waters have moderate waves and occupancy is low. Access is easy on foot from the Miño-Pontedeume road, with an interurban bus service, and the listing records showers and Puerto Deportivo de Pontedeume.
