Playa de Calas de Poniente

Playa de Calas de Poniente is the collective name for seven small, unspoilt coves, including Cala Encendida, Cala Aspero, Cala Pato, Cala Medina and Cala Frailecillo. The stretch totals 600 metres in length and has golden sand, a width of around 20 metres and moderate swell. Its most recognisable landscape feature is the reddish cliffs sheltering the coves. La Encendida is the most frequented because of its easy access, while the group is reached by difficult walking routes from the Cabo Roche development. There is guarded parking for more than 100 vehicles and an interurban bus service.
