What it is like
Playa de A Barda occupies a small cove where fishing boats anchor, a feature that sets it apart from other beaches in the surrounding area. The beach measures 50 metres in length and 10 metres in width, combining white sand and rock, and is enclosed below a mountain slope with vegetation and protection from the Site of Community Importance (SCI). The usual swell is moderate. It is reached by car via the AC-424, using a steeply sloping paved track; the cove also has an anchorage area marked in the record.
