About this reservoir
Embalse Bornos identifies an inland bathing area located in Bornos, Cádiz, within a reservoir established on the waters of the Guadalete river. Its surroundings include the reservoir’s tail, recognised as a natural site, wetland and area of interest for protected birdlife. Tamarisks appear along the shores, while the nearby slopes are covered with lentisks and wild olive trees. The listing groups an official bathing area at this site, which forms part of a natural area that also extends across the municipalities of Arcos de la Frontera and Villamartín.
